    Summer Reading

Hey friends! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent the weekend with my friends and family, as most weekends, and it was great! So.. I have a confession.. I’ve never been what you would classify as a “reader.” I don’t read every week, or even every month. My mom and my sister read enough for all of us combined ūüėČ so growing up around that – you would think I would be a reader, but I’m not. Now don’t let this fool you; I always have intentions to read, I get books, start them, but I don’t ever finish! ..I know it’s so bad! This past Fall I…

I’m still getting used to the whole not having school thing – I have to say I like it! ūüėČ Today I’m linking up with Erika, Andrea, and Narci to bring y’all my Friday Favorites! I used to get my hair done every 4-6 weeks. My hair has literally been every shade of blonde and brown, but the past couple of years I have been slacking on the hair department and only going every few months. Luckily, I have been doing the balayage technique which means I don’t really have roots and you…

Hey y’all! I hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Mother’s Day! Friday I graduated from Clemson (!!!!!!) and the rest of the weekend I spent with my family- it was great! On Thursday my family, Wesley, and I headed up to Greenville to stay the night before my graduation. I had the 9:30 am graduation time, which meant I¬† had to be there at 7:30, so there was no way we could go the day of. So we loaded up and headed to Greenville! We did some shopping in the¬†Haywood Mall,¬†and had supper at¬†The Cheesecake Factory,¬†which is my all time favorite place. I had the Louisiana Chicken…

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope everyone had a fabulous week! Today, I’m linking up with Erika,¬†Narci, and Andrea¬†to bring you guys my favorites of this week! It’s been a pretty boring week – lots of work, school work, and laundry….LOTS of laundry, so this weeks list is going to be a little short! This week the weather has been great! So far the spring weather here in South Carolina has been crazy.. one day 85 degrees the next 50, but this week it has been a good steady 70-ish degrees. Thanks to the great weather, Charlie and I spent a much needed afternoon outside! Today marks my last day of…

    Be Still

If you’re like me, you have a hard time being still and having faith that God’s plan is better than your own. Since I can remember, I have always been a control freak, nothing to be proud of, but I’m being honest. With that comes the need to fix everything on my own, worry about unnecessary things, and ask “why me” a lot. To be bluntly honest, the past few years have been HARD. I have gone through losing two grandparents, changing colleges not once, but three times, heartbreak, weight gain, anxiety, and the usual stuff that people my age go through. In the midst of all this, I always…

    Weight Loss

So today I’m going to talk about the dreaded topic of weight loss. Unfortunately, so many people, like myself, deal with weight issues; but, we hate to talk about it! I am no pro AT ALL, but wanted to share my story and what I am doing with y’all! I don’t know about y’all, but this is so me :¬† ) So to give y’all a better visual of what I’m working with- I am only 5’2” tall and I have a relatively small build, so in other words every single pound shows. Throughout elementary school-high school, I was always extremely active. I cheered and play basketball until I graduated…
